Community news: Milan Elkerbout

We now welcome Milan Elkerbout, researcher at Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS), an EU affairs think tank in Brussels, as a new member of the Mistra Carbon Exit group. Milan’s works focuses on EU climate policy research, in particular emissions trading and industrial decarbonisation.

“Mistra Carbon Exit provides a fantastic opportunity to research what is really required to transform an economy into a low-carbon one. The very ambitious Swedish national climate policy provides great experience for other member states, while at the same time providing challenges of integration and interaction with the EU policy framework. With a new European Commission and European Parliament set to take their place in the second half of 2019, this year will be a pivotal one for the EU’s long-term climate policy.”
