Webinar: Green Cities - Strategies for Decreasing Construction Emissions

Cities are increasingly setting targets to lower their emissions and mitigate the impacts of climate change. A particular focus area is #decarbonising the construction and operation of buildings.

The complexity of the challenge calls for #internationalcooperation to amplify success and encourage beneficial outcomes for cities as they transition. How can countries collaborate to support cities, propel further climate action, and ensure economic prosperity and livable conditions?

Join Resources for the Future (RFF) and the Sweden-US Green Transition Initiative on Tuesday, 12 March, for "Green Cities: Strategies for Decreasing Construction Emissions" with Ida Karlsson, PhD Candidate within Mistra Carbon Exit at Chalmers University of Technology. This event will focus on the obstacles to lowering emissions from the construction of buildings and how to overcome them. In particular, it will focus on the role of procurement as a way to accelerate the #greentransition.

Linda Andrén, Dallas Burtraw, Anna Kadefors, Alan Krupnick, and Cliff Majersik are other presenters. The webinar starts at 8:00 PM Central European Time (CET), that is att 2:15 PM American Eastern Time.
